Hampden House

My Experience

All the venues you see on my website have either been visited personally by myself or have been researched thoroughly, this has been done to ensure that your photographs are the very best that you can expect. Hampden House is a spectacular wedding venue and from my experience one that makes a wedding photographers life easy. To see if this is the venue for you please continue to read my experience.

The first thing that struck me with this beautiful wedding venue is the long drive way that leads you to an expansive grade 1 listed Country House Estate. You immediately have this wow factor that you want every guest to have when they arrive on the day you tie the knot.

Hampden House is situated in over 350 acres of historic parkland and beech woods with far reaching views across the Misbourne Valley. Fabulous opportunities for stunning wedding photographs await in their magnificent grounds. You can enjoy Champagne or Pimms on the lawn and perhaps a game of croquet. The possibilities are endless...

Most venues you will find will have one, maybe two rooms, to hold your guests throughout the day and evening. Not this one. The unique feature of this location is that each event from the ceremony to drinks reception to wedding breakfast to bar are all held in different, unique, rooms. All expansive, each with their own character, inviting guests to have the most fulfilling experience.

The expansive facilities give you the opportunity to build your perfect wedding. Prices for their 'Bespoke' option start from £4950. However, all-inclusive packages can rise as far as £20,000 with the feature of:

  • Venue hire with exclusive use

  • Champagne and canape reception

  • Three course wedding breakfast

  • Half a bottle of wine per person

  • Glass of champagne per guest for toasts

  • Table linen

  • Table flower arrangements

  • Venue wedding stationery

  • DJ entertainment

The beautifully ornate Great Hall with its magnificent fireplace has a capacity for 150 guests for civil ceremonies. The elegant newly restored Dining Room will allow up to 100 seated for a wedding breakfast.

This site is incredibly flexible. It gives you the option of having a church wedding in the elegant 13th Century Parish Church of Great Hampden, St Mary Magdalene, situated within the grounds. Otherwise the civil ceremony room has significant character, a room that you will want to make the most of and can. Some venues I have visited breeze over the ceremony, emphasising the other features, however with this one it is a great selling point. Photographs just pop in this room.

Sitting down for the wedding breakfast is a treat. The room is decedent and requires little to no additional decoration. moreover some flower arrangement are provided. This coupled with the glamorous decor can really make the planning for a wedding easy, allowing you to focus on other aspect.

Another area where planning is made easy is with the DJ which is also included within the comprehensive packages. Of course, it is worth bearing in mind that all event must end at 11pm within this venue. This is not a problem for you early birds and for ceremonies starting nearer to noon since there is plenty of time for everyone to have drinks. However, for anyone looking for weddings to run straight through the night. This wedding venue may not be ideal for you.

I truely believe this one of the best venues you can be married at or attend. If you like this venue and wish to make an enquiry for me to be your  photographer than please don't forget to click on the "contact me" button below and make an enquiry.
